What size HVAC system should I get for my home?
There are several factors, year built, location and direction, insulation factors , duct locations number of stories etc. We will gladly access your home and give you the correct size to meet your needs.
Are all air filters the same? How often should I replace them?
No, the cheaper filters do not give you quality air. We recommend a good quality filter preferably a pleated one which we will provide for you with your service and also can provide cases so you don't have to travel to the store.
Filters should be checked 1 time per month at least and changed if dirty, remember a dirty filter means less efficiency and cost you more in energy not to mention possible emergency call outs. Hint: pay your electric bill check your filter.
Why should I perform preventative maintenance?
To get the maximum efficiency out of your system and for the longevity of the system, imagine never changing your cars oil that could lead to higher fuel cost and costly break downs, we recommend once in the heating season and once in the a/c season, but at minimum 1 time per year.
Is a Wi-Fi thermostat a good idea?
YES! They are easily set up to work off your cellphone, tablet or PC from almost anywhere in the world. You control when your a/c comes on and goes off when you are not at home thus saving you money in high energy bills. Not to mention in 2-story homes you no longer have to go upstairs to adjust your thermostat, or across the home to adjust the settings.
Do you offer over the phone simple diagnosis rather than having to come out for a simple fix ?
Yes we offer this service, our technician will walk you through simple things to check so you may avoid a call out for unnecessary easy fix IE settings on stat, breaker reset etc. But we are always available to get a tech to you if we can't do the simple check over the phone.
